- Look under Talents for Life Skills. Players report that gold purchases reveal further nodes, including the unlocks needed for more loot-filter options.
- Solve the immediate problem first: unlock loot handling if your cart is filling, then weigh experience and item-find bonuses against further gold investment.
Find the tree and reveal the next options
Life Skills is the practical side of your farming setup: the launch discussions place it under Talents and describe spending gold to unlock its options. If the tree looks sparse, that is not enough to conclude that most of it is missing. A September 28 reply explains that nodes and connectors appear as you unlock them, and the original poster updated their complaint to acknowledge the hidden nodes.
Read the next visible node before spending, then check what it reveals. For the first few purchases, give yourself a concrete goal such as unlocking auto-sell. Demo screenshots may show a different layout, so check the prerequisite links and costs in your own Life Skills panel before spending gold.
Unlock the filter, then change the carriage setting
Open Talents → Life Skills
Look for the gold branch leading to auto-sell. In a resolved launch discussion, the reply named the first +10% gold node as the prerequisite; check your visible connection before buying.
Purchase the loot-handling unlock
The October 1 resolved filter thread explains that auto-sell unlocks first and auto-salvage later. Having only Pick Up in the dropdown can mean the skill has not been unlocked.
Return to the carriage filter
Click the horse/cart and choose the handling option for the rarity you want to change. Buying the skill and choosing a filter are separate actions.
Keep potential equipment upgrades
Only automate disposal of gear you are comfortable losing. If your weapon is still weak, keep that rarity available until you have inspected the alternatives.
| Option | Reported result | Useful question |
|---|---|---|
| Auto-sell | Gold | Is this gear expendable, and do I need more gold for upgrades? |
| Auto-salvage | Soul Shards | Am I deliberately choosing the salvage resource instead of gold? |
| Keep / pick up | Retain gear to inspect | Could this rarity still improve my current equipment? |
A practical early spending order
If full bags are interrupting your sessions, prioritize the automation unlock that addresses that interruption. After the required path purchases, weigh XP and item-find bonuses against further gold investment. A player in the September 30 progression thread recommended XP and item drops first, then gold; use that as a starting point for the passive bonuses, not a reason to skip the prerequisite for the tool you need.
Delay a specialized bonus until you can use its activity. The same player advised leaving fishing boosts until reaching a fishing area. This keeps the next purchase connected to what your character is doing now, rather than to a later activity.
Unlocked a battle potion slot but cannot see it?
Open Combat Settings and look for the potion setup. A September 28 reply directs the player to press C and equip combat potions from the Alchemist. If your shortcut differs, find the menu through your current controls; buying the unlock is the first check, equipping the potion is the next.
Treat Auto-Fill Inventory as a separate troubleshooting issue
Auto-Fill Inventory has unresolved reports. In the October 2–7 discussion, one player reported a full cart and empty inventory, while another described it stopping with a full inventory. There is no reliable fix established by that exchange. Check the actual item movement in your own session before relying on the feature for a long unattended run.
For a useful bug report, record the node you bought, the carriage filter, available bag space, the area being farmed and whether the game stayed open. Avoid changing several settings at once: one visible change makes the next result easier to interpret.
