- The table below lists 14 distinct legendary Rein items with official item descriptions. Each permanently unlocks the minion named in its description.
- This is an item-name lookup, not a complete drop table. Use the companion reference for detailed passive and active effects.
Legendary Rein item lookup
Use the exact item name when checking your inventory or a Steam listing. Some names include βtheβ; preserving that wording makes it easier to tell a Rein from an equipment piece or another reward with the same creature name.
| Rein item name | Minion unlocked |
|---|---|
| Rein of the Dread Sand Manticore | Dread Sand Manticore |
| Rein of the Tidewrath Crab King | Tidewrath Crab King |
| Rein of the Lord of the Crimson Vale | Lord of the Crimson Vale |
| Rein of the Ancient Oak Treant | Ancient Oak Treant |
| Rein of the Ice Hound | Ice Hound |
| Rein of the Serparmat the Devourer | Serparmat the Devourer |
| Rein of the Ancient Shellwarden | Ancient Shellwarden |
| Rein of the Raptor | Raptor |
| Rein of the Redrock Lord | Redrock Lord |
| Rein of the Venom Queen | Venom Queen |
| Rein of the Flying Fish King | Flying Fish King |
| Rein of the Bloodmoon Werewolf | Bloodmoon Werewolf |
| Rein of the Lord of the Cinder | Lord of the Cinder |
| Rein of the Bone Reaper | Bone Reaper |
What the list establishes
Every entry above has an official Steam item description that explicitly names a permanent minion unlock. The list therefore supports identifying the item and its purpose. It does not establish that these are all the Reins in the game, that every one has the same carriage capacity or that their drop chances match.
A market listing tells you what a Rein does, not where it drops. The Bone Reaper listing does not identify a boss or difficulty to farm. Do not commit to a route solely because it shares a name with the minion.
One acquisition clue with official patch support
Fishing is a confirmed lead for Flying Fish King: version 1.0.1 reduced its Rein drop chance in the Fishing changes. The new probability and expected time to obtain it remain unknown. Older reports of quick catches cannot give you a reliable farming deadline.
Keep that distinction when using community collection stories. One player finding a Rein quickly and another spending a day without it are different outcomes, not enough information to calculate a drop rate.
Use the list before you consume an item
- Match the full Rein name to the minion you intend to unlock.
- Check your existing collection to avoid treating a duplicate as a new companion.
- Read any tradability warning before confirming use.
- After unlocking, select the minion; it need not become your active carriage companion automatically.
For a build decision, compare the companion effects list. For missing pickups or duplicates, use the Reins guide.
