Deskrawl Fishing: Unlock Clues, Rewards and Fish King

Two release-era discussions give different directions. In the Fishing thread, a reply says to defeat the Tazan 4 boss. In the EXP farming thread, another player describes a blue fish node before Tazan and says level 33. These are useful navigation clues, but they do not establish the same exact prerequisite.

Early players called fishing a fast way to fund upgrades. That is their experience rather than a controlled comparison against later boss or Rift farming. Choose it for a reward you want, and compare actual results if gold is your only goal.

The official Rein description lists +10% Mana Cost Reduction and Mana Monsoon, which grants +25 Mana Regen for 5 seconds on a 20-second cooldown. Those effects explain its appeal to mana-hungry builds without proving it is the best minion for every class.

An October 2–3 discussion includes widely different acquisition times, from a short session to roughly a day. Those catches happened before the October 5 reduction to the Rein’s drop chance. Do not plan around matching an early player’s catch time.

If you can progress comfortably without it, keep the Rein as a longer-term target rather than treating it as a mandatory wall. You can assess other mana-support companions while deciding how much fishing time to invest.

Players have complained about fishing filling inventory with unwanted catches and requested a dedicated filter. A request for a feature does not prove the filter exists. Inspect the controls actually available in your version instead of following invented filter instructions.

Check the session after a short interval to see how quickly space fills. Keep wanted food and decide what to sell based on your immediate needs. Review catches before space runs out, and choose a stopping point based on the reward you need rather than someone else’s lucky drop time.
