- Choose the damage route first, then spend on the support it needs. A Thorns allocation emphasizes different nodes from a Half Moon Slash or Whirlwind plan. The available point lists are community examples; they do not establish one verified leveling order or a current best tree for every Warrior.
Start with the build’s actual damage source
| Route | Nodes or stats discussed | Why the choice is conditional |
|---|---|---|
| Thorns | Vitality, Armor, Thorns, Thorn Boost and Vicious Thorns in Jnc and Super’s reports. | The plan relies on Thorns gear and surviving incoming hits; reported early results are mixed. |
| Half Moon Slash | Mana support, Cleaving Rage, Crescent Harvest and later conditional damage in GoodCallMike’s plan. | The main attack must remain usable; adding its damage nodes alone does not solve Mana shortage. |
| Whirlwind with Vulnerable | Critical Chance, Critical Damage and Heavy Blow in UwU’s report. | The reported loop depends on applying the status through that setup. |
| Whirlwind with Bleeding | Bloodlust in Vyrak’s report, paired with a helmet that adds Bleeding to Whirlwind. | The author’s result depends on the enabling item; the talent name alone does not establish the interaction. |
When a support point is worth more than another damage point
Asura’s early Warrior reply puts points into Mana gain for Valiant Strike while using a Moon Slash route. Another player prefers Hook and Vulnerable support at that stage because the Moon Slash setup needs more Mana-related investment. The disagreement is useful: the same damage plan can feel very different before its support is in place.
Watch the skill you are trying to improve. If it stops because Mana is empty, investigate the relevant generation or cost talent before adding another narrow damage bonus. If you are dying while Mana remains available, that is a different problem and calls for a different adjustment.
Do not treat a player’s level-by-level plan as a settled tree
CoiledLamb’s 30 September plan lists an extensive order, then revises its own opening advice and expresses uncertainty about later choices. The later reply quoting the list is not a second independent test. That makes it a useful example of a developing build, not a verified sequence to copy without checking your current tree.
Vyrak’s Bloodlust setup includes a helmet that adds Bleeding to Whirlwind. The current damage multiplier, stacking conditions and buff duration remain unconfirmed. Do not assume that choosing Bloodlust alone gives the same benefit or keeps it active permanently.
Finish adjustments before a leaderboard run
Patch 1.0.2 prevents ability and talent changes during leaderboard-tracked combat maps. Resolve your damage route and support choices before entering.
For talents that count casts, the official rule excludes repeated casts and minion or summon attacks and resets the counter when you die or change areas. Apply a node’s exact wording rather than assuming every visible hit advances it.
