The individual Hundred Hands Rune II listing shows Rune level 1/6 and +2 Furious Fist Ability level. Those are attributes of that listed rune, separate from the set’s two-, four- and six-piece thresholds.
Current Mana is the important wording
The six-piece description scales from current Mana. It does not say maximum Mana, Mana regeneration or Mana spent. More recovery may help you preserve the resource, but it is not the same stat as the number used by this effect.
That creates a useful check for the build: look at the Mana remaining while Furious Fist is producing palms, particularly when your other abilities are active. The official text does not provide a full damage formula for all the bonuses combined.
What supports the critical-dodge variation?
The community video proposes a dodge and critical-damage route, including Formless later in progression. Its current conversion formula and critical cap remain unconfirmed. Check those tooltips before copying the video’s stat targets or point allocation.
One defensive interaction does have clear official item text. Evasive Cuirass in its Black Mist version grants bonus Physical Damage Reduction equal to half your Dodge Chance. It is listed for Hunter and Monk at required level 70. That makes dodge relevant to this item; it does not establish a universal best-in-slot chest or protect you equally from every damage type.
Use the post-1.0.2 interaction
Patch 1.0.2 says the Golden Palms triggered by Hundred Hands now participate in applicable talent and equipment cast effects, including damage, repeats and cooldown interactions. The patch also reworked Golden Palms into a traveling projectile.
The set names Dazed. A community discussion asks whether Dazed also counts as Slowed, but does not settle it. Do not choose a Slowed-only damage item on that assumption.
Before calling the build finished
- Confirm the equipped set has reached the six-piece bonus.
- Check current Mana during the proc loop, not just the maximum shown outside combat.
- Read the current Formless tooltip before committing to the critical-dodge conversion.
- Evaluate defensive gear at your actual level; the cited Evasive Cuirass is a level-70 listing.
