- Official patches change specific drop rules, but they do not provide a complete probability table for all equipment, Reins and materials.
- Keep the item, patch, character mode and activity together when comparing drop-rate claims. A relative increase is not the same as a percentage-point chance.
Confirmed loot changes by patch
| Patch | What the announcement says | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0.0g, September 29 | Equipment slots receive an even chance in the loot drop system | Addresses slot distribution; it does not say every named weapon is equally likely. |
| 1.0.0h, September 30 | Frost Dragon gains a 5% chance to drop a Golden Treasure Chest | A specific boss reward, not a universal chest rate. |
| 1.0.1, October 5 | Rune Set drop rate increased by 40% | A relative boost; the underlying absolute chance is not supplied. |
| 1.0.2, October 8 | Black Mist drop chance increased | No exact replacement probability is stated. |
| 1.0.2, October 8 | Singleplayer offline characters get double super-rare drop chance | Applies to the mode and item categories described by the patch. |
For a simple illustration, increasing a hypothetical 1% chance by 40% would produce 1.4%, not 41%. That example explains the arithmetic only; 1% is not a claimed Deskrawl Rune Set rate.
Single-player is not the same as closing the game
An October 3 thread shows how easily the terms get crossed. The original poster asked about single-player versus online-mode drops. Replies instead discussed shutting the game, and the poster clarified that they meant single-player. The October 8 patch explicitly labels its super-rare change “Singleplayer mode.”
Do not turn that announcement into “leave the game closed for double loot.” Mode selection and whether the client is running are different questions. The patch describes a bonus for offline characters in Singleplayer mode, not a complete closed-game reward specification.
Item Find and empty sessions
Players have reported feeling little difference after adding Item Find, but those reports do not measure a probability. The September 29 Item drop rates thread includes a player with a high displayed Item Find bonus who still saw mostly low-quality items. That is useful context for expectations, not proof that the stat does nothing.
Similarly, an October 2 post supplies exact Black Mist calculations and claims access to game data. Without a reproducible version-matched formula, those numbers are too strong to present as established odds. The subsequent official buff also makes a frozen launch-era number unsafe to reuse.

A more useful farming record
- Record the specific target, such as a named Rein, a Rune Set item or a Divine weapon.
- Note the patch, character mode, map and difficulty.
- Record elapsed time and successful clears, including deaths and interruptions.
- Separate all drops from items that actually meet your target.
- Keep zero-drop sessions in the record; omitting them makes the route look better than it is.
If a route is mostly producing items your filter hides or sells, inspect the filter before judging the loot table. A quiet inventory can reflect filtering as well as the drops themselves; it does not measure the underlying chance.
